About The Role About The Role This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ETL Developer to join the Project team here at Islington Council, for a Fixed Term of 12 months starting June 2025. We are in the process of implementing a new ERP - Technology One's OneCouncil SaaS+ solution, and this role is pivotal in helping us to deliver a successful go-live for April 2026. This position will focus on the critical elements of Data Migration and Interfacing. Your primary responsibility is to facilitate the data migration process in line with the Data Migration strategy. This will require understanding of data extraction, transformation processes (predominantly via Excel templates), and using the import functionality within the OneCouncil solution to import with validation sign-off. You may also get involved with interface/process mapping throughout the project if required. Your expertise in coordinating closely with project managers, IT specialists, and business stakeholders will be pivotal in facilitating a smooth transition, minimising disruptions, and maximizing the benefits of the new finance system. Key Responsibilities • Developing full understanding of the OneCouncil data templates and import process. • Working with functional stakeholders to determine data requirements/validation in accordance with the solution specification and data migration strategy. • Prepare transformational and mapping requirements within the templates (Excel). • Action data migration testing • Action data migration at Go Live • Manage the data validation processes throughout UAT and Go Live • Assist with the data archiving activities required • Assist with interfacing activities as and when required What We're Looking For A technical data related qualification with a background in data administration is fundamental. Advanced skill set with Excel is vital and any experience with Oracle SQL is favourable. Any experience in any large scale, data migration activities, especially relating to finance systems, will also be favourable.
