Kforce has a client seeking a Senior ETL Developer to join their team in Charlotte, NC. This role will be working a hybrid office schedule, 4 days in office 1 day remote. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ETL Developer with strong expertise in PySpark, Python, along with a solid background in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes across relational databases and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience developing scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows using modern tools and frameworks. Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using PySpark and Python for large-scale data processing
β’ Implement validation logic as part of ETL workflows
β’ Work with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) to extract, transform, and load data efficiently
β’ Develop and optimize data pipelines on cloud platforms (AWS) using Spark-based frameworks (Data Frames)
β’ Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable data solutions
β’ Ensure data integrity, performance, and quality in all ETL processes
β’ Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment of data solutions
β’ Work on-site in an office location four days per week, with one day optional for remote work
Requirements
β’ 5+ years of experience in ETL development with a strong foundation in data integration, transformation, and loading
β’ Proven experience writing efficient code in PySpark and Python, especially for large-scale data sets
β’ Hands-on experience with creating ETL workflows
β’ Strong experience working with relational databases and writing complex SQL queries
β’ Solid understanding of data modeling, performance tuning, and best practices in ETL design
β’ Experience with cloud-based data processing using Spark on AWS, Azure, or GCP
β’ Strong communication and collaboration skills
β’ Must be willing to work from the office 4 days/week
β’ Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with data orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or similar
β’ Familiarity with data governance and security best practices
β’ Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
