Description 3 month contract (no option to extend) Candidates must currently be local to Redmond, WA Hybrid - 3 days/week are onsite Client is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to join their finance teams to build an automated process to set the prices for updated price points and new products. This person will have to have senior level excel experience and be able to work with the business to understand the process flow, and then build the price automation tool within excel. To accomplish this they will have to organize the data and implement management/governance over their data that currently sits within Excel. Required Skills • High technical skills in Excel with special focus on VBA, Excel Automate and PowerQuery to automatize the process (incl. potentially using tools like MS Access for a streamlined front end to kick-off the process) • Experience creating structured databases (we are expecting to turn our semi-structured Excel data into properly structured tables in Excel or potentially SQL) • Project management experience (all the above are our rough requirements, but no final definition or design of the solution has been created yet – the person we’re looking for would need to drive this process while reporting to management • Price Setting and Margin based analysis and decision making • Experience creating streamlined processes coordinating multiple teams around a new toolset Skills Sql, Data, Analysis, Microsoft excel, vba, Excel Automate, Powerquery, Data analysis, Business analysis, Sql queries, Data governance Top Skills Details Sql,Data,Analysis,Microsoft excel,vba,Excel Automate,Powerquery Additional Skills & Qualifications • Improve process for how things are priced. • Currently very manual process • This should be able to be replicated for similar products but it's a very manual process ○ Also has to be able to do margin analysis for new products • Build this on top of forecast data which is unstructured in excel tabs ○ Work to automate and organize this data (master data tables structure) • Requirements • Pricing and margins background • Excel and power query • SQL and tables and databases. Needs to build the schema and connect tables and master data • Work together with other teams and how to access types of master and forecast data ○ Quantity forecast provided by another team. Current Process • Input via request email of a new price point or a new product • Input in excel structure ○ Price, product code • Open other excels for reference data and past approvals. • Uploaded into Oracle. • Missing piece is the cost structure that varies depending on item, they should look at margin return and if it falls without parameter they should reassess the price and it flags it ○ Has a ton of variables and they want this to be conditioned so they can adapt to variables.
