Role description
Fabric Analytics Engineer Contract length: 6 months Location: Fully remote - UK based Start: ASAP Day Rate: Negotiable DOE - Outside IR35 iO Associates are currently looking for a hands-on Fabric Analytics Engineer to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions for purpose-driven organisations. This is a 6-month remote contract focused on building scalable, production-grade data platforms, from ingestion through to analytics-ready datasets and dashboards. You'll own the technical delivery: pipelines, modelling, data quality, and reporting outputs, working closely with both internal teams and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: • Translate stakeholder needs into scalable, analytics-ready data solutions • Build and manage ELT pipelines in cloud data platforms (e.g., Fabric, Synapse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks) • Integrate data from CRMs, web analytics, finance, and other operational systems • Model data using dimensional principles for reporting and analysis • Implement data quality checks and lightweight monitoring • Create dashboards and datasets in BI tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau, etc.) • Clearly communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders Essential Skills • Delivered end-to-end production data pipelines • Strong SQL and data modelling skills • Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric or similar cloud platforms • Experience with ELT tools (Airbyte, Fivetran) and/or Python • Built semantic layers and analytics-ready datasets • Led technical delivery and stakeholder sessions • Comfortable in low-maturity data environments Contract length: 6 months Location: Fully remote - UK based Start: ASAP Day Rate: Negotiable DOE - Outside IR35 If this role sounds like yourself, send me an email on with your up to date CV and the best contact number and I will come back to you to arrange a call.
