Akkodis is seeking a Fast API Developer for a Contract to Hire position, and this is a 100% Remote role. Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in Fast API, Python, and CI/CD. Rate Range: $55-$65 per hour. The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI and Python • Build microservices that integrate with databases, authentication services, and other APIs • Containerize applications using Docker • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for deployments • Collaborate with frontend developers • Write clean, testable, and efficient code following software development best practices • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize API performance and scalability Required Skills & Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience in backend development using Python • 1–2+ years of hands-on experience with FastAPI • Solid understanding of RESTful API principles and OpenAPI / Swagger specs • Strong experience with Docker and container-based development • Familiarity with DevOps practices: CI/CD, environment management, automated testing • Experience with relational (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL) • Understanding of authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth2, JWT) • Version control using Git or Azure DevOps • Good knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
