Finance Data Management Analyst
Job Title: Finance Data Management Analyst Location: USA- [REMOTE] Type: [Contract] 6+ Months
Type: 6+ Months (Potential Long-term Contract)
Summary: The main function of a Finance Data Management Analyst is to perform the analysis and daily functional support Finance's Global Consolidation group during accounting month-end close. The role will heavily utilize JD Edwards and ServiceNow's Service Management application.
Job Responsibilities:
Assess and support Finance's Global Consolidations and accounting month-end close by reviewing and qualifying requests from finance stakeholders.
Works with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
Performs root cause analysis and troubleshoot Finance business processes including testing and researching data integrity/accuracy.
Demonstrates an informed knowledge of accounting and GAAP principles to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
Demonstrates JDE or similar system knowledge to implement metadata updates as part of month-end close.
Works on multiple projects as a project team member.
Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to translate and document business requests and requirements for technical solutioning.
Skills
Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
Understanding financial concepts, principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) a plus
High level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to other people at their systems knowledge level.
Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Organizational and project management skills
Ability to solve technical problems/processes and understand complex details.
Education:
2-4 years' experience required in ERP or similar financial system. JDE preferred.
