Technology
We are looking for a candidate to grow our Infrastructure Automation team. The team member will work with a team of diverse skills sets to release solutions to provide automation and self-service capabilities to increase the productivity of internal teams.
our primary responsibilities will be to develop and maintain RESTful software using the Python programming language with a strong emphasis on the SQLAlchemy ORM.
Additional responsibilities will include developing modules and configurations using Terraform to support and expand an Infrastructure as Code initiative. The team would respect a team member that has a passion towards engaging and improving all steps of the software development life cycle.

Education: Bachelorβs degree preferred, but technical ability outweighs education

Key Technical Requirements: Strong Python development experience β backend focus Must have experience with SQLAlchemy (ORM) Strong SQL skills Experience with Primericaβs systems/APIs is a major plus β familiarity with Primerica will outweigh SQLAlchemy expertise Familiarity with: Flask (for RESTful API development) Paramiko (for SSH and secure connectivity) Git (merging, handling repo conflicts, Git workflows) Linux command line CI/CD tools Docker/containerization (light use) Terraform (not currently a focus but may be in future growth) ??
Team & Workflow: The developer will join the Infrastructure Automation team, managing two internal software projects One project involves Public Key Infrastructure (PKI); the second is a general automation tool Environment: Ad hoc Agile (morning check-ins, standard Git-based workflows) Developers work independently and merge code via Git β must be able to resolve conflicts and handle repository workflows Code is deployed using Docker containers (not a heavy containerization use case) ? Ideal Candidate Profile: Takes initiative β proactively investigates codebases and asks thoughtful questions Able to dig into problems independently and think critically Strong verbal communication and collaboration skills Able to hit the ground running with minimal hand-holding Comfortable in structured enterprise settings (startup backgrounds may find the pace slower) Long-term potential for growth into Terraform and broader Infrastructure-as-Code work
