Job Summary:
The Finance Specialist will join the FP&A team supporting Third-Party Distribution and New Markets (TPD&NM), with a strong focus on annuity P&L analysis. This role partners with business leaders and the CFO team, driving financial insight into business decisions through data analysis, forecasting, and performance commentary. Success requires strong business acumen, collaborative communication, and the ability to distill complex financial results into actionable insights.Key Responsibilities:
β’ Build strong partnerships with business partners and CFO colleagues to support decision-making
β’ Analyze sales, AUM, cash flows, unit costs, and other financial drivers for reporting and forecasting
β’ Develop and validate forecast assumptions in collaboration with business leaders
β’ Exercise stewardship of spend and influence direct unit costs
β’ Contribute to initiatives to grow business efficiency and effectiveness
β’ Draft commentary and financial analysis to explain performance drivers and business implications
β’ Partner with Controllers to ensure monthly result accuracy and with Expense Management for forecast and reporting alignment
β’ Support implementation of FP&A target operating model, identifying and implementing process improvements
Required Experience:
β’ 5+ years of finance experience in a large corporate environment, providing business financial support
β’ Strong data analysis skills; ability to interpret and communicate business results effectively
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
β’ Intellectual curiosity and a continuous learning mindset
Nice-to-Have Experience:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
β’ Experience with insurance product modeling
β’ Knowledge of BI tools such as Alation, MicroStrategy, or SQL
Required Skills:
β’ Financial analysis and forecasting
β’ Strong business acumen and decision support
β’ Communication and relationship-building
Preferred Skills:
β’ Data visualization and BI tool proficiency
