Role description
An exciting fixed term contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance System Transformation Lead to play a pivotal role in the modernisation of a government organisation’s finance systems.
Leading the end-to-end transformation of the finance system, you will be responsible for the successful implementation of Microsoft Business Central. Working closely with Finance, IT and external implementation partners, you will provide leadership across system design, delivery, testing and go-live, ensuring the solution supports efficient, scalable and digitally enabled finance operations. Acting as the key link between technical and finance stakeholders, you will translate business requirements into system solutions, oversee user acceptance testing, and lead change management activity including training, documentation and adoption planning. You will also play a key role in standardising finance processes, improving data quality and driving automation.
You will bring a strong track record of leading and delivering finance system transformations, with hands-on experience of MS Business Central and/or MS Dynamics 365 Finance being essential. A solid understanding of end-to-end finance processes, and – crucially - the communication skills to translate technical information into easily understandable actions will be very important. You must be able to demonstrate confidence working in a complex, fast-paced environment, influencing stakeholders across finance, IT and the wider business.
This role offers a rare opportunity to lead a high-profile finance transformation programme and leave a lasting impact on how finance operates across this arm's length body of a government department.
The duration of the post will be 12 months and, in addition to London, the role could also be based in Manchester or Loughborough.
