Financial Consultant (AI & Automation)

DisruptiX Talent Solutions is working with a client based in Costa Mesa, CAthat is beginning to explore how to modernize its accounting and finance function through automation and AI-driven solutions. This is an early-stage initiative focused on evaluating current processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and implementing tools to enhance workflows, reporting and overall financial operations. The organization is looking to bring in a consultant who can help assess the current environment and contribute to shaping a practical path forward. Responsibilities • Evaluate current accounting workflows, close processes, and reporting structures • Identify opportunities to implement automation and AI-driven solutions • Support or lead ERP and financial systems enhancements or implementations • Build and improve reporting, dashboards, and data visibility tools • Streamline processes across month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting • Partner with leadership to define and support execution of transformation initiatives • Assist with data structuring, cleanup, and integration across systems Qualifications • 5–12+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Systems • Experience in consulting, project-based work, or internal transformation roles • Strong understanding of month-end close, financial reporting, and data flows across systems • Hands-on experience with process improvement, automation, or system implementations Preferred Experience • Exposure to AI tools or AI-assisted workflows within finance or accounting • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, D365, SAP, or Sage • Strong technical skillset including Excel, Power BI, SQL, or similar tools • Background in finance transformation, FP&A systems, or financial analytics • Ability to operate in unstructured, early-stage environments Target Profiles • Financial Systems Consultants • Finance Transformation Managers • Controllers or Accounting Managers with strong systems and automation exposure • FP&A or Finance Analytics professionals with strong technical backgrounds If your background aligns with finance, systems, and automation or AI initiatives, we would be interested in connecting to discuss the opportunity further.
