Description:
We are looking for a Data Analyst with Finance M&A experience.
Hybrid role (2 days onsite in a week) for the Sunnyvale and San Francisco locations.
The Strategic Business Operations Team (SBO) is looking for a Data Analyst to work in an impactful, collaborative work environment. They will help drive business initiatives critical to the ongoing growth of the team and be responsible for developing a deep understanding of our business model and internal processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
β’ Require 3-5 years of experience to Assist in the development of long-term revenue forecasts and analysis
β’ Lead the development of forecasting models based on market trends, existing licensee sales and new licensee acquisitions
β’ Support patent licensing executives by providing relevant analysis and financial information on prospective licensees
β’ Process diverse sets of information to provide summary-level insights and recommendations
β’ Improve the quality and consistency of data and data management
β’ Help identify opportunities for systems and processes for efficiency, effectiveness, and automation
β’ Problem solving and providing business insights and recommendations
β’ Prepare economic analysis in support of our patent pool engagements by providing analysis of royalty rate and pool structure proposals.
β’ Develop patent valuation analysis supporting IP business development efforts

QUALIFICATIONS
β’ Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
β’ Data Analyst with Finance M&A.
β’ Exceptional financial modeling and analysis skills
β’ Strong data analysis and finance experience
β’ Interest in learning new software applications
β’ Excellent communication skills
β’ Ability to ownership over projects and work independently
ELIGIBILITY
β’ Working towards a Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Business Management, or a related field..
β’ Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities, including experience conducting market research, competitive intelligence, market sizing, valuation analysis, acquisition diligence, and comparable benchmarking; advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, VBA/macros, and forecasting methodologies.
β’ Advanced technical and data automation skills, with expertise in Python, APIs, SQL/data extraction techniques, and Excel/VBA automation to build scalable workflows, improve data quality, perform trend analysis, and streamline complex business processes.
β’ Experience leveraging AI and emerging technologies to drive business insights, including designing and optimizing AI-enabled research workflows, validating and enriching large datasets, detecting data integrity risks, and delivering actionable insights across global markets and investment ecosystems.
