Job Title: Strategic Data Analyst Location: San Francisco, CA Duration: 6 months Description :Duties :Manager's note :We are looking for a Data Analyst with Finance M&A experience . Hybrid role (2 days onsite in a week) for the Sunnyvale and San Francisco location s. The Strategic Business Operations Team (SBO) is looking for a Data Analyst to work in an impactful, collaborative work environment. They will help drive business initiatives critical to the ongoing growth of the team and be responsible for developing a deep understanding of our business model and internal process es. RESPONSIBILI TIES • Require 3-5 years of experience to Assist in the development of long-term revenue forecasts and ana lysis • Lead the development of forecasting models based on market trends, existing licensee sales and new licensee acquis itions • Support patent licensing executives by providing relevant analysis and financial information on prospective li censees • Process diverse sets of information to provide summary-level insights and recomme ndations • Improve the quality and consistency of data and data m anagement • Help identify opportunities for systems and processes for efficiency, effectiveness, and automation • Problem solving and providing business insights and reco mmendations • Prepare economic analysis in support of our patent pool engagements by providing analysis of royalty rate and pool structur e proposals. • Develop patent valuation analysis supporting IP business develo pment e fforts Skills: QUALIFICATIONS • Experience with Microsof t Office suite. • Data Analyst with Finance M&A. • Exceptional financial modeling an d analysis skills • Strong data analysis and finance experience • Interest in learning new so ftware applications • Excellent communication skills • Ability to ownership over projects a nd work ind ependently ELIGIBILITY • Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Managemen t, or a related field.. Note: • Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities, including experience conducting market research, competitive intelligence, market sizing, valuation analysis, acquisition diligence, and comparable benchmarking; advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, VBA/macros, and fo recasting methodologies. • Advanced technical and data automation skills, with expertise in Python, APIs, SQL/data extraction techniques, and Excel/VBA automation to build scalable workflows, improve data quality, perform trend analysis, and streamline com plex business processes. • Experience leveraging AI and emerging technologies to drive business insights, including designing and optimizing AI-enabled research workflows, validating and enriching large datasets, detecting data integrity risks, and delivering actionable insights across global markets and investment ecosystems."
