Financial Engineering Business Analyst – Python, Anaconda, Credit Risk
My client, a global bank based in London, is looking for a contract Financial Engineering Business Analyst to join the team in Sheffield.
The Financial Engineering Business Analyst will support the department in the delivery of strategic vision for the Financial Engineering infrastructure and related changes in response to the regulatory and business requests.
The Financial Engineering BA will focus on enhancing model development and implementation by gathering business requirements, analysing data, defining solution designs with operational changes, and supporting implementation through testing.
Initial contract until end of Dec 2025, paying up to £675 per day. Hybrid working, 2-3 days in the Sheffield office.
Key skills:
• Experience with Analytics or modelling, particularly in wholesale credit risk
• Experienced with Anaconda enterprise solutions.
• Skilled in SQL and Python
• Banking Business Analyst experience, specialising in change delivery and business analysis artefacts (requirements, functional architecture, data specs, test plans).
• Proficient in Agile methodologies
• JIRA
• Quantitative degree – desirable
Responsibilities:
• Analyse current vs. target Financial Engineering infrastructure and modelling processes.
• Act as a key liaison between modelling teams, IT, users, and other impacted stakeholders.
• Define business requirements, assess solutions against future-state architecture, and manage modelling resource demand (e.g., Anaconda).
• Support agile delivery and testing through planning, ceremonies, and execution of functional tests.
