Job Title: Financial Services Data Analyst – Automation & Process Improvement Location: New York, NY or Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 remote) Duration: Contract (starting with 12 months) Pay: Up to $55/hour (W2) Overview A leading financial services firm is seeking a Financial Services Data Analyst to support automation initiatives within Wealth Management Operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in automation, data analytics, and process improvement within financial services. The position focuses on identifying operational inefficiencies, building automation solutions, and partnering with business teams to improve workflows across operations. Key Responsibilities β€’ Identify automation opportunities across Wealth Management Operations teams β€’ Analyze business processes and document requirements, workflows, and expected outcomes β€’ Design, build, test, and deploy automation solutions using tools such as UiPath, Power Automate, Alteryx, Python, VBA, and SQL β€’ Support UAT, rollout, and adoption of automation initiatives β€’ Partner with stakeholders across operations and technology teams β€’ Monitor production automations, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvements β€’ Perform root cause analysis and enhance automation performance β€’ Provide reporting, project updates, and escalation support to leadership Requirements β€’ Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Computer Science, or related field) β€’ 5+ years of experience in automation, data analytics, or process improvement within financial services β€’ Strong experience with automation tools such as UiPath, Power Automate, or Alteryx β€’ Strong technical skills in Python, VBA, SQL, or similar scripting languages β€’ Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and process mapping skills β€’ Experience working within Wealth Management Operations preferred β€’ Certification in automation tools is a plus β€’ Consulting background is a plus, but this is primarily a hands-on automation and analytics role
