Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented PBM Forecasting professional to join a high-impact forecasting team supporting pharmaceutical rebate analysis and financial modeling. This role serves as a subject matter expert on rebate forecasting, maintaining and enhancing legacy forecasting tools while helping guide the transition to a modern, cloud-based forecasting platform.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in financial analysis, forecasting, SQL, and advanced Excel/VBA modeling, along with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Forecasting & Financial Analysis
• Ensure accurate and timely updates to rebate and financial forecasting models.
• Interpret rebate contracts and update forecasting model assumptions accordingly.
• Provide ongoing business support for speculative rates used in forecasts.
• Extract, analyze, and interpret large datasets to support forecasting accuracy and decision-making.
Tools & Systems Support
• Maintain and enhance legacy forecasting tools using Excel, VBA, and SQL.
• Perform quality control, testing, and validation of existing tools and resources.
• Translate evolving business needs into technical solutions and implement new assumptions as required.
• Consult on the development and implementation of the Integrated Rebate Forecast (IRF), a new cloud-based forecasting solution supporting legacy tool decommissioning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate closely with Trade Finance, Underwriting, Data Science, iTools, and PUMA support teams.
• Communicate complex financial and analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support forecasting initiatives with strong documentation and stakeholder alignment.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, analytics, underwriting, or forecasting.
• 2+ years of experience using SQL to analyze and manipulate large datasets.
• 2+ years of advanced Excel modeling experience, including VBA proficiency.
• Strong proficiency with advanced Excel functions such as:
• INDEX/MATCH
• Nested IF statements
• Array formulas
• Proven ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze large data sets to deliver actionable insights.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in PBM underwriting or healthcare contracting.
• Familiarity with rebate modeling and pharmaceutical pricing structures.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
