FP&A Manager Consultant - Utilities

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced FP&A Manager–level Consultant with a strong background in the utilities industry and hands-on expertise with PeopleSoft or SAP S/4HANA. This fully remote role offers an exciting opportunity to partner with clients to enhance financial planning, forecasting, and performance management capabilities while supporting strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities for utility-sector clients. • Analyze financial performance, variances, and key drivers; translate insights into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders. • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve FP&A processes, models, and reporting using PeopleSoft or SAP S/4HANA. • Develop and enhance financial models to support scenario analysis, rate cases, capital planning, and operational initiatives. • Advise on best practices for financial governance, data integrity, and performance management within regulated utility environments. • Support month-end and quarter-end analysis, management reporting, and executive presentations. • Assist with system enhancements, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred. • 5+ years of progressive FP&A experience, including leadership or manager-level responsibilities, within the utilities industry. • Demonstrated experience with PeopleSoft or SAP S/4HANA in an FP&A or financial management context. • Strong understanding of utility financial drivers, regulatory environments, and capital-intensive business models. • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with data visualization and executive-level reporting. • Proven ability to operate independently in a fully remote environment. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
