The Opportunity
We're looking for a fractional (contract) DevOps Engineer. You will be responsible for managing and automating our cloud infrastructure, improving deployment processes, monitoring system performance, ensuring high availability, implementing cloud security best practices.
Qualifications
• Strong proficiency in AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, ECS (including Fargate), RDS, VPC networking, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, and Route 53.
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform for provisioning and Ansible for configuration management.
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions.
• Deep understanding of containerization principles and hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms like Docker and AWS ECS.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry, and the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving complex issues in distributed systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Relevant certifications from AWS (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) or CNCF (e.g., CKA, CKAD) are a plus.
