Fraud & Compliance Operations Director
Position Type: W2 Contract
Duration: 6 Months (Potential to extend or convert based on business needs)
Pay Rate: $60.00 / hour
Location: On-Site (Nashville, TN 37201)
Hours: 8:00 AM β 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM β 6:00 PM
Target Start Date: June 15, 2026
About the Opportunity
Step into a high-visibility operational role with one of the worldβs leading mass media and global entertainment powerhouses. Famous for shaping global pop culture, premier streaming networks, and major cinematic worlds, our clientβs Procure-to-Pay (PTP) Compliance function is actively scaling.
This is a hands-on operational leadership position within a newly developing fraud monitoring framework. The right candidate will get the exclusive opportunity to help stand up a corporate-wide fraud monitoring program from the ground up, contributing across both strategy and day-to-day execution.
Core Responsibilities
1. Expense Account Monitoring & Fraud Analytics
β’ Pattern Analysis: Analyze complex spend data to detect patterns and irregularities; partner with Data Analytics teams to construct and maintain predictive monitoring frameworks and red-flag detection protocols.
β’ Auditing: Conduct thorough audits of business travel accounts, corporate expense reports, card transactions, and supplier payments to catch policy violations or anomalies.
β’ Investigation Management: Lead fraud investigations end-to-endβvalidating transaction authenticity, building extensive case documentation/dashboards, and coordinating escalations with HR and Legal.
1. Procure-to-Pay (PTP) Compliance Monitoring
β’ Policy Enforcement: Monitor compliance with corporate expense policies across the full PTP cycle, tracing repeat exceptions and driving resolutions.
β’ PO Governance: Track purchase order (PO) workflows, identifying and escalating instances where business units fail to properly validate or handle PO requirements.
β’ Third-Party Defense: Actively operate and refine a third-party spend monitoring function focused specifically on identifying potential supplier or vendor fraud.
1. Stakeholder Collaboration & Peer Guidance
β’ Actionable Reporting: Deliver concise fraud findings and trend analysis to global leadership to drive risk-informed corporate decisions.
β’ Peer Support: Partner with, guide, and support corporate team members globally with deep expertise on daily tasks and work products (note: this role acts as a functional program leader but does not serve as an administrative personnel supervisor).
Job Requirements
Critical Must-Haves:
β’ Education: Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
β’ Fraud & Investigation Experience: 5+ years of dedicated professional experience in fraud monitoring, risk evaluation, compliance investigation, and interviewing.
β’ Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience working inside enterprise financial systems like Concur, SAP, or Oracle.
β’ Data & Analytics Skills: Strong data analytics capability with proficiency running queries using SQL, Excel, or data visualization platforms like Power BI / Tableau.
β’ Advanced Tech Exposure: Practical experience utilizing machine learning models or predictive modeling strategies geared toward tracking operational fraud.
β’ PTP Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial controls, corporate travel & expense workflows, and purchase order tracking compliance.
β’ Soft Skills: Collaborative, proactive, and friendly leadership disposition. Must be capable of handling highly sensitive data with total discretion while presenting key technical findings to global stakeholders at all tiers.
Nice-to-Haves:
β’ Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), CPA, or CIA designations.
β’ Familiarity navigating regulatory environments like SOX or AML.
β’ Prior background dealing with fraud and risk management in regulated spaces (banking, credit card issuers, or financial services).
