Freelance AI Engineer (Full Stack)

About YourFocus is accelerating consumer research by through AI focus groups. The platform enables customer to run rapid consumer research using AI to test ideas, products, and messages faster and more cost-effectively than traditional methods. Our mission is to transform how businesses gain insights by combining the speed and scalability of AI with the richness of human-like perspectives. You will play a key role in building and delivering a production-ready product for synthetic user research, working closely with the product team and adhering to a defined and validated PRD. You’ll operate under the guidance of an experienced ML/AI Engineer and domain experts contributing across the full stack from rapid prototyping to deployment. You will push technical boundaries to solve unique challenges in persona generation, conversation quality, and focus group simulation. This role requires comfort with research and iteration where outcomes are not fully defined, and ideally some experience delivering enterprise-grade products. Responsibilities • Deliver AI features for synthetic user generation and focus group simulation, aligned with the PRD. • Prototype, test, and iterate rapidly to improve discussion quality and persona accuracy. • Integrate and optimise LLMs - ideally comfortable with Gemini and GCP. • Build scalable, robust cloud-based systems to support real-time interactions. • Collaborate with the YourFocus teams to solve technical and product challenges. • Ensure quality and reliability in delivery for enterprise U.S. clients Requirements • 2–3+ years of professional full-stack development experience. • Strong skills in TypeScript, Python, React, or equivalent modern stacks. • Proven experience with LLM integration and AI-powered application development. • Experience delivering products for enterprise clients is highly desirable. • Understanding of cloud architecture (GCP). • Bonus: background in ML/AI research or applied data science. • Comfortable with exploration and iteration in ambiguous problem spaces. • Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive problem-solver, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
