Role description
Director, Insights & Measurement MikeWorldWide is looking for a freelance Director, Insights & Measurement — a data-driven storyteller who can connect the dots between culture, conversation, and consumer behavior. You’ll translate analytics into strategy, helping brands anticipate shifts, uncover opportunities, and measure what matters. What You’ll Do: • Analyze audience intelligence platforms (e.g., MRI, StatSocial, Audiense) to uncover demographic, psychographic, and behavioral insights. • Identify emerging communities, cultural shifts, and audience behaviors that present brand opportunities or risks. • Support and optimize social listening and news monitoring tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Meltwater) to track sentiment, share of voice, and brand health. • Synthesize market, competitor, and category data into actionable intelligence and strategic recommendations. • Develop measurement and performance frameworks to evaluate and optimize brand and campaign impact across channels. • Champion training, coaching, and agency-wide adoption of intelligence tools and best practices. • Present data and insights in a consultative manner, driving strategic conversations and identifying opportunities for growth. • Evaluate and pilot emerging tools and methodologies to enhance data-driven marketing practices • Oversee and mentor analysts, ensuring high-quality insights and professional growth. What You Should Have: • 5–8+ years in analytics and intelligence ideally within PR, digital, advertising or consulting • Strong skills in data analysis, visualization, and storytelling (Excel, Tableau, Power BI) • Hands-on experience with leading social listening and audience intelligence platforms • Experience synthesizing data from multiple sources into unified insights • Detail-oriented, analytical, and curious about consumer behavior and cultural trends $100/hour 20 hours a week
