Role description
As the ROI Tool & Automation Specialist, you will refine and enhance a structured reporting tool, build a searchable commercialization database, and (if approved) implement automation solutions to make data gathering and report generation more efficient. Your work will directly improve efficiency, scalability, and usability of the reporting process. Responsibilities β€’ ROI Discovery Tool Enhancements β€’ Analyze current reporting workflows and propose an improvement plan. β€’ Lead review sessions with stakeholders, demonstrate prototypes, and implement approved changes. β€’ Document efficiency gains and finalize updated tool documentation and training materials. β€’ Database Development β€’ Create a searchable database or spreadsheet to filter information by: β€’ Strategic alignment and priorities β€’ Technology area β€’ Company name and location β€’ Commercialization status β€’ Partnership readiness β€’ Automation (Optional but Preferred) β€’ Propose and, if approved, implement automation solutions (e.g., Zapier with scripting, RPA tools, or AI agents). β€’ Ensure automation: β€’ Reduces report generation time by 25% or more β€’ Maintains 85%+ data accuracy β€’ Successfully processes at least 50 company datasets β€’ Deliver fully documented, scalable automation with troubleshooting guides. β€’ Integration & Support β€’ Ensure compatibility with standard environments (Excel, CSV, PDF). β€’ Provide up to five (5) post-completion support engagements if requested. β€’ Design solutions with scalability for future integration and expansion. Requirements β€’ Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen or resident, physically located in the U.S., and able to pass a background check. β€’ Experience: β€’ Strong background in database development, process automation, or tool enhancement. β€’ Familiarity with workflow automation platforms (Zapier, Power Automate, RPA tools). β€’ (Preferred) Experience building AI-driven or semi-autonomous data gathering systems. β€’ Skills: β€’ Technical proficiency in data handling, workflow design, and API integrations. β€’ Ability to design scalable, maintainable solutions. β€’ Strong documentation and process improvement skills.
