About the Role We are seeking a skilled Full-Stack Developer with strong expertise in PHP/Laravel (backend), Vue.js (frontend), and Cypress.io (automated testing) to join client projects on a contract basis in the UK. You will work closely with in-house teams to deliver scalable, high-quality applications, ensuring best practices in architecture, testing, and maintainability. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain backend services using PHP (Laravel), ensuring code quality and performance. • Build and enhance frontend components using Vue.js, with a focus on responsive, user-friendly interfaces. • Write and maintain end-to-end and integration tests using Cypress.io to ensure application stability. • Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and clean, maintainable code. • Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, and DevOps to deliver sprint goals within an agile environment. • Debug, troubleshoot, and optimise existing applications for performance and scalability. • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing. • Ensure all work aligns with security, compliance, and accessibility standards required for UK digital services. Required Skills & Experience ✅ 3+ years of experience in PHP/Laravel development ✅ Strong skills in Vue.js and component-based architecture ✅ Experience with Cypress.io or similar automated testing frameworks ✅ Proficiency with RESTful APIs and JSON ✅ Familiarity with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines ✅ Experience working in agile environments (Scrum or Kanban) ✅ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail ✅ Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration Desirable • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms • Knowledge of Tailwind CSS or similar styling frameworks • Familiarity with payment systems, orchestration, or fintech products • Prior contracting experience in the UK market Location • UK-based hybrid (client site visits may be occasional depending on project).
