Our client is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer (Data Portal) to work at their company in New Hyde Park, New York. Job Description: Team & Project Context The Analytics and Solutions Team is spearheading the development of an enterprise-wide Data Hub and Data Portal platform. This strategic initiative aggregates healthcare and non-healthcare data from multiple siloed systems into a single, centralized ecosystem. Our mission is to cleanse, secure, and analyze this data to drive innovation, streamline operations, and ultimately improve patient outcomes. We are looking for a "been there, done that" developer to join our Data Hub team (currently comprised of one developer and three data engineers) to accelerate the development of the Data Portalβ€”the user-facing application that makes this powerful data accessible to stakeholders across the entire organization. Role Overview As a Senior Full-Stack Developer, you will be a primary architect of the Data Portal. You will build the interface and the backend services that allow diverse stakeholders to interact with complex healthcare datasets. This role requires a high degree of technical maturity, as you will be responsible for translating the robust capabilities of the Data Hub into a seamless, high-performance user experience. Key Responsibilities β€’ Data Portal Development: Lead the end-to-end development of the user-facing Data Portal using React, Next.js, and TypeScript. β€’ Backend API Architecture: Design and implement scalable, high-performance APIs using FastAPI to serve data from the centralized Data Hub to the portal. β€’ System Integration: Work closely with the three Data Engineers to ensure the Data Portal effectively surfaces cleansed and secured data from the underlying PostgreSQL databases and data pipelines. β€’ Security & Compliance: Implement rigorous security protocols to ensure that sensitive healthcare data remains protected and compliant while remaining accessible to authorized stakeholders. β€’ Full-Stack Optimization: Balance frontend responsiveness with backend efficiency, ensuring the portal can handle complex data visualizations and large-scale queries without performance degradation. β€’ Collaborative Innovation: Participate in architecture reviews and sprint ceremonies, providing technical leadership to help the team overcome the challenges of siloed data integration. Required Skills and Qualifications β€’ Senior Technical Experience: A "been there, done that" track record of building and scaling enterprise-level web applications. β€’ Modern Frontend Stack: Expert-level proficiency in React, Next.js, and TypeScript. β€’ Modern Backend Stack: Strong production experience with FastAPI and Python for building asynchronous, high-throughput APIs. β€’ Database Mastery: Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL, including schema design for complex data structures and query optimization. β€’ Industry Expertise: Recent Healthcare experience is mandatory, including a working knowledge of the security and data integrity standards required in clinical environments. Preferred Qualifications β€’ Data Engineering & Platform Experience: A big plus if you have experience with data platform engineering or building tools that interface with large-scale data warehouses. β€’ Cloud Proficiency: Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly preferred. β€’ Interoperability: Familiarity with aggregating data from siloed legacy systems into modern centralized platforms.
