Full-Stack Developer, Independent Contractor

The Shift Network is a socially-conscious company that empowers a global network of more than 2.5 million people to live their full potential through education, media, and trainings featuring leading wisdom keepers and visionaries. Our courses include materials such as sound healing, mediumship, shamanism, and most recently we hosted an AI Summit. This is a freelance position. You must be an established Independent Contractor to be considered. This Independent Contractor opportunity will be up to 40 hours per week or up to 180 hours per month, depending upon work volume. The contract opportunity requires at least 5 hours of overlap time with Pacific time, and that your total availability is flexible. The position pays $35-40 per hour to start, depending upon qualifications and experience. You will be part of a small team working on a couple of B2C React/NextJS applications. We are in the process of migrating our stack to modern technologies. You will be part of the team that builds the foundations of this new stack. Since we are a small team, you will be working on several areas of the application: marketing, content delivery, subscription management, third party connectivity, admin panels, etc. We are looking for someone with at least 3-5 years experience. Stack & Technologies' Experience: React and Next.js using App Router, SSR, and modern hooks TypeScript with strong proficiency Node and Express for backend integration REST APIs, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL Vercel for hosting and GitHub Actions for CI/CD Git workflows including pull requests, branching, and reviews Solid understanding of scalable architecture and clean code principles Responsibilities include: Build and maintain features across both front-end and backend layers Develop analytics and AI-driven modules as part of upcoming releases Collaborate with design and backend teams to deliver robust, maintainable solutions End-to-end ownership of assigned features from planning to deployment Contribute to code reviews, testing, and ongoing improvements Participate in agreed upon on-call rotations for production support Preferences: Experience with analytics dashboards or data visualization Familiarity with AI or automation integrations Strong focus on performance tuning and responsive UI Comfortable contributing to multiple related projects Collaboration & Communication: Work within a structured, process-driven environment with clear workflows Communicate effectively in English with teammates across time zones Collaborate efficiently within automated systems and established processes If you fulfill the requirements above, are agreeable to the rate, and can overlap Pacific hours, we invite you to apply. https://theshiftnetwork.com/Notice-At-Collection
