Role description
Fund Accounting Analyst - Hybrid 3x per week in Boston, MA - 12-month contract to hire
As a Fund Accounting Analyst supporting the AUM transformation initiative, you will partner with Fund Accounting, Finance, Investment Operations, and Data teams to enhance AUM calculation methodologies, data controls, and reporting processes. You will:
• Analyze and validate AUM calculations across multiple fund structures and asset classes
• Review data lineage, reconciliations, and control frameworks to ensure accuracy and audit readiness
• Document current-state and future-state processes related to AUM reporting and fund accounting workflows
• Support requirements gathering and translate accounting needs into system and data specifications
• Assist with UAT testing, reconciliation validation, and issue resolution during system enhancements
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistent financial reporting and regulatory compliance
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in fund accounting, investment operations, or asset management
• Experience supporting system implementations or financial data transformations
• Knowledge of fund structures (mutual funds, ETFs, alternatives, or institutional mandates)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to trace data flows and resolve discrepancies
Nice to Have:
• Experience supporting AUM or financial reporting system upgrades
• Familiarity with data governance and regulatory controls in asset management
• Exposure to UAT coordination and transformation initiatives
