Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Gas Metering Business Analyst for a major, industry-leading client. This opportunity supports a multi-year smart metering program to deploy advanced gas metering systems across multiple regions. The role offers exposure to enterprise-level projects, cross-functional collaboration, and long-term strategic initiatives that shape the future of energy delivery.
Responsibilities
β’ Gather and analyze business and technical requirements related to gas metering deployment across multiple workstreams.
β’ Conduct stakeholder meetings and presentations to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations.
β’ Document business processes, system requirements, and project progress against established milestones.
β’ Collaborate with project teams, operations, and leadership to align deployment activities and dependencies.
β’ Ensure solutions meet defined business needs and technical specifications.
β’ Develop and execute integration and user acceptance testing plans for metering systems.
β’ Perform data mapping between client-server applications and SAP environments based on user requirements.
β’ Validate meter data across the end-to-end system architecture to ensure accuracy and consistency.
β’ Communicate updates related to technical meter specifications and deployment changes.
β’ Evaluate existing business processes and identify opportunities for optimization and standardization.
β’ Support change management initiatives and maintain adherence to internal best practices.
β’ Serve as a liaison between technical teams, program stakeholders, and end-users.
β’ Monitor project updates and stakeholder impacts across multiple deployment workstreams.
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
β’ 5β7 years of experience in business analysis, preferably within utility, energy, or infrastructure projects.
β’ Experience supporting large-scale system implementation or deployment programs.
β’ Proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation.
β’ Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
β’ Experience with integration testing, user acceptance testing, and data validation.
β’ Strong understanding of IT systems, data flows, and system integration concepts.
β’ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
β’ Familiarity with smart metering systems or utility operations preferred.
