GCP Engineer

A large enterprise organization is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join a growing cloud infrastructure team focused on building, automating, and securing modern cloud platforms. This role will play a key part in supporting enterprise-scale cloud initiatives, infrastructure automation, platform engineering, and developer enablement. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and modern deployment practices. This individual will work closely with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to develop scalable cloud solutions while improving automation, governance, and operational efficiency. This is a Hybrid Onsite Right-to-Hire Role! Responsibilities • Design, build, and support cloud infrastructure within a large-scale enterprise environment • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform • Implement and support Git-based deployment and automation practices • Partner with engineering teams to improve platform capabilities and developer experience • Build reusable infrastructure components and standardized cloud provisioning frameworks • Support containerized workloads and Kubernetes-based platforms • Implement cloud security controls, governance standards, and identity management best practices • Drive automation initiatives that improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to cloud strategy initiatives Required Experience • 10+ years of infrastructure, cloud engineering, or platform engineering experience • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Advanced Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise • Experience with Git, CI/CD, and GitOps methodologies • Kubernetes and container orchestration experience • Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management • Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments • Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and platform issues Preferred Experience • Platform Engineering • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) • Cloud Security • DevSecOps • Enterprise Automation • Cloud Governance • Financial services or other highly regulated environments Technical Environment • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Terraform • Git / GitOps • Kubernetes • CI/CD Pipelines • Infrastructure Automation • Cloud Security & IAM • Container Platforms
