Job Description
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
GE MES Suite-Proficy Plant Application, Historian, SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), .NET scripting, Communication Skill
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement solutions using GE Proficy products (iFIX, Historian, Plant Applications, etc.)
Develop custom screens, dashboards, reports, and alerts using Operations Hub and related tools.
Configure and support data acquisition from PLCs/SCADA systems.
Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to ensure seamless integration with manufacturing systems.
Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and provide production support.
Maintain and enhance Historian for long-term data storage and analysis.
Support deployment of MES solutions including work order management, genealogy, and traceability.
Optimize system performance and reliability.
Create and maintain technical documentation and user manuals.
Required Skills:
Strong experience with GE Proficy suite (iFIX, Historian, Plant Applications, Operations Hub).
Experience with industrial communication protocols (OPC, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
Knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.) and integration techniques.
Experience in scripting and automation (VBScript, .NET, SQL).
Familiarity with SQL Server databases and query development.
Understanding of MES/MOM concepts in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to troubleshoot real-time and historical data issues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
