Location: Hybrid – Cambridge (2–3 days/week) Rate: £400/day | Outside IR35 Duration: 6 months (initial) We’re looking for an experienced Generative AI Developer to join a cutting-edge team working on cloud-native AI solutions. This role blends hands-on engineering with applied GenAI R&D, and is ideal for developers passionate about building secure, scalable, AI-driven platforms. Key Responsibilities: • Build scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure • Develop secure, well-documented public APIs and SDKs • Work across data pipelines, orchestration layers, and AI service endpoints • Implement robust security controls and ensure safe access to AI models • Deploy, train, and integrate AI models into production systems • Participate in design/code reviews and mentor junior engineers AI & Cloud Expertise: • Experience with LLMs and trade-offs in cost/performance (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) • Strong grasp of RAG, prompt engineering, tool calling, agent orchestration • Familiar with frameworks like AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel, or equivalent • Working knowledge of MCP, Agent2Agent, and AI safety standards • Skilled in Python, with hands-on use of GitHub Copilot, PyTorch, or TensorFlow • Understanding of AI ethics, bias mitigation, and regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
