Contract-to-Perm (90 days)
Location: Nashville, TN
On-site M-F, 7-3 initially. Will move to 3-days on-site
We are seeking a highly motivated GenAI Architect (ServiceNow AI Agent) to join a growing technology organization in Nashville, TN. This is a hands-on, contract-to-permanent role focused on transforming BPO-driven and shared service operations into Generative AI-powered automation solutions.
Initial onsite presence is required during training, followed by a hybrid schedule of three days per week onsite once fully ramped. This role is ideal for an experienced automation or AI architect with strong ServiceNow AI Agent expertise who wants ownership of enterprise-scale GenAI transformation initiatives.
Position Summary
The GenAI Architect (ServiceNow AI Agent) leads the end-to-end transformation of manual, rule-based, and BPO-supported processes into AI-driven automation platforms.
This role owns architecture, migration strategy, implementation, and stabilization of GenAI-powered automation initiatives. Success in this position requires deep hands-on experience with ServiceNow AI Agent in production, strong Generative AI design skills, and direct experience modernizing shared services or BPO operations using AI technologies.
Acting as the technical lead, this role makes key design decisions, ensures business continuity during migration, and delivers scalable, enterprise-grade AI automation solutions.
This position reports to senior leadership based in New York City.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
GenAI Automation & Migration Leadership
β’ Lead migration of BPO and shared service operations from manual or rule-based processes to GenAI-driven automation
β’ Assess current-state workflows and design future-state AI-enabled operating models
β’ Define migration strategy, phases, risks, fallback mechanisms, and success metrics
β’ Ensure stable rollout with minimal disruption to business operations
GenAI Architecture & Solution Design
β’ Design and implement Generative AI-based automation architectures
β’ Define conversational AI flows, orchestration logic, and human-in-the-loop controls
β’ Establish AI governance standards for accuracy, explainability, and risk management
β’ Evaluate and select appropriate GenAI technologies and implementation approaches
Enterprise Automation Platform Implementation
β’ Architect and implement AI-driven automation using ServiceNow AI Agent as a core enterprise platform
β’ Define reusable patterns, templates, and best practices for AI-enabled workflows
β’ Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and production-ready
Integration & Data Enablement
β’ Design and oversee integrations with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Snowflake, internal platforms)
β’ Ensure secure, reliable data pipelines supporting AI-driven decision-making
β’ Define logging, monitoring, and observability standards for AI automation solutions
Technical Leadership
β’ Serve as the technical authority for GenAI automation initiatives
β’ Lead architecture and design reviews; approve key technical decisions
β’ Mentor engineers and collaborate with global teams and vendors
β’ Translate business requirements into scalable, AI-driven technical solutions
Required Knowledge and Experience (Must Have)
β’ 6+ years of experience in enterprise application development, automation, or AI-driven systems
β’ Hands-on production experience with ServiceNow AI Agent, including design, implementation, and deployment
β’ Proven experience transforming BPO or shared service operations using AI technologies
β’ Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing Generative AI solutions
β’ Experience leading enterprise automation or migration initiatives
β’ Ability to independently define architecture, make technical decisions, and lead delivery
Technical Competencies
β’ Generative AI fundamentals (LLMs, prompt design, orchestration, evaluation, risk mitigation)
β’ ServiceNow customization and scripting (JavaScript)
β’ API-based integrations and enterprise data flow design
β’ Conversational AI, workflow orchestration, and human-in-the-loop patterns
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
β’ Experience with Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio
β’ Experience with Azure AI Foundry or Azure-based GenAI platforms
β’ Experience designing multi-platform GenAI architectures
β’ Familiarity with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, SAP)
β’ Experience working with global or offshore teams
β’ Prior experience as a Technical Lead, Architect, or Principal Engineer
Education
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
β’ AI, cloud, or automation-related certifications preferred
Compensation
β’ Base salary: $130,000 β $140,000 (based on experience)
β’ Bonus: Up to 5% annually (pro-rated through fiscal year ending March 31, 2027)
