Role description
Position Summary Contractor Location: Plano, TX | Chicago, IL | New York, NY Work you'll do Work You’ll Do The services you will provide the Deloitte project team as: GenAi Tech Contractor: Leverage your technical expertise to drive automation and deliver actionable insights through advanced data visualization! You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing end-to-end automated processes to ingest data from multiple sources, perform data wrangling and analysis, and present post-campaign performance insights. You will partner with XLOB teams and your role is critical in driving data-driven strategies and optimizing campaign outcomes. We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in Alteryx, Python or similar structured programming language, and data visualization tools such as Tableau Job Responsibilities • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into analytical solutions. • Extract, integrate, and harmonize data from diverse internal and external sources—including databases, files, and APIs— using advanced SQL and SAS techniques. Develop, debug, and optimize SAS/SQL code to accurately define target populations for campaign initiatives. • Work with analysts to evaluate campaign performance, identify trends, and uncover actionable insights. • Develop and implement scalable data wrangling and transformation pipelines using Alteryx and Python, with a strong focus on maintaining data quality, consistency, and integrity at every stage of the workflow. • Design and implement automated workflows for data ingestion from diverse sources (internal databases, external files, APIs, etc.). • Continuously improve automation processes to enhance efficiency and scalability. • Build, maintain, and optimize interactive Tableau dashboards and reports to visualize post-campaign performance and insights. • Document processes, workflows, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference. • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Business with quantitative focus). • 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, data analytics, or a similar role. • Proficiency in Alteryx and Python (or similar tools) for workflow automation and data transformation. • Advanced skills in Python & SQL for data manipulation and analysis. • Proven experience with Tableau (or similar visualization tools) for dashboard/report development. • Solid understanding of data ingestion techniques and ETL processes. • Ability to interpret complex data sets and deliver actionable insights. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills. • Ability to articulate root causes, comfortable escalating concerns, proactively raises concerns when timelines are in jeopardy of not being met • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize with strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to learn the business, innovate by designing new processes, and effectively consult on the design and execution of marketing programs • Effective communication with all parties at varying levels of analytical/technical understanding is also critical to success in the role. Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake, Athena) and data storage solutions. • Knowledge of campaign management and marketing analytics. • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). • Financial service industry experience The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $70- $75 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
