Generative AI Engineer

Position Overview Role Overview This position is focused on designing, building, and deploying enterprise-ready GenAI applications — not traditional data science or model training. The engineer will take solutions from concept through architecture, implementation, and production deployment. The ideal candidate operates independently and can translate business needs into scalable, production-ready AI systems. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver generative AI applications from concept to production Translate business requirements into GenAI system architectures Build and maintain full-stack applications (frontend + backend) Implement LLM integrations using RAG, prompt engineering, tool calling, and API workflows Develop LLM-powered tools, internal platforms, and APIs Apply DevOps best practices (CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, deployment automation) Ensure enterprise-grade reliability, security, and governance Collaborate cross-functionally while owning technical execution Evaluate and prototype emerging GenAI tools and platforms Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Engineering, or related field (ABET-accredited preferred) 3–5+ years of professional experience in AI/software engineering Strong proficiency in Python Full-stack development experience Experience building and shipping production software systems Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) DevOps experience (CI/CD pipelines, containerization, deployment automation) API design and integration experience Proficiency with GitHub or similar source control tools Strong communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications Experience with agentic/orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, or similar) Experience in energy, utilities, or industrial systems (solar PV, energy storage, transmission, wind is a plus) Job Type: Contract Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour Work Location: Hybrid remote in Panama City, FL 32405
