Genomics SME and Data Bricks Engineer

<Job Overview>We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Genomics Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Data Bricks Engineer to join our innovative data science team. In this role, you will leverage your deep expertise in genomics to guide data-driven research initiatives while engineering scalable, high-performance data solutions using Data Bricks and cloud platforms. Your energetic approach will drive the development of advanced analytics pipelines, support model training, and enable seamless integration of complex genomic data with big data technologies. Required Skill sets: Must have Genomics SME with Databricks. Must have Python and Spark Must have 2-3 yrs of relevant experience Must have at least 5+ yrs <Experience> Proven experience working as a Genomics SME with a strong understanding of genomics concepts, workflows, and data types. Extensive hands-on experience with Data Bricks platform, Spark programming (Java/Python), and big data processing frameworks such as Hadoop. Strong background in cloud environments including AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Azure (Azure Data Lake), with familiarity in deploying scalable solutions. Proficiency in SQL (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle), ETL tools (Informatica, Talend), and scripting languages like Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, Python, VBA. Experience designing data warehouses for large datasets in genomics or related fields; knowledge of database design principles is essential. Familiarity with analysis tools such as Looker for visualization and reporting; experience with RESTful APIs for data integration is a plus. Ability to work within Agile teams while managing multiple priorities; excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail are critical for success.
