Role description
About MoveWorth MoveWorth is a St. Louis–based digital strategy and technology firm specializing in website development, automation, and system integration for government, nonprofit, and small business clients. We help public-sector organizations modernize operations, improve user experience, and leverage technology for efficiency and transparency. We are currently pursuing a public sector project with a GIS component to implement a new cloud-based asset and reservation management system that integrates with existing Esri GIS infrastructure. This position is contingent upon MoveWorth being awarded that project. Position Overview The GIS Integration Specialist will serve as the technical lead for designing, developing, and deploying GIS data connections between the existing Esri ArcGIS system and the new asset/reservation platform. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Esri REST APIs, ArcGIS Online / ArcGIS Enterprise, and web mapping integrations within government or enterprise environments. You’ll work collaboratively with MoveWorth’s technical architect, project manager, and client IT staff to ensure that the system’s mapping and location-based features are accurate, stable, and compliant with City standards. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement GIS integrations between Esri ArcGIS and the asset reservation software. • Configure map layers, coordinate systems, and geospatial data connections for park assets. • Collaborate with City GIS and IT departments to obtain access credentials and ensure API compliance. • Troubleshoot data synchronization, performance, and visualization issues. • Provide technical documentation outlining integration design, configuration, and testing results. • Support testing and validation phases to confirm location accuracy and functionality. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field. • 3+ years of experience with Esri ArcGIS (ArcGIS Online, Enterprise, REST API, or ArcGIS Server). • Demonstrated experience building custom web map integrations using Esri APIs or SDKs. • Strong understanding of spatial data formats (Shapefiles, GeoJSON, Feature Services, etc.). • Familiarity with municipal GIS environments or public-sector technology projects. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. • Ability to work independently within a collaborative, deadline-driven team environment. Contract Details • Type: Independent Contractor or W-2 term employee (to be determined upon award). • Duration: Estimated 6–9 months (project-based). • Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience. • Contingency: This position will be formally activated only if MoveWorth is awarded the contract. Candidates may be pre-selected and retained on standby until award notification.
