As a Geospatial Data Analyst, you'll play a critical technical role in supporting corporate initiatives, engineering projects, and compliance operations such as Positive Train Control (PTC). This is more than just data management — it’s an opportunity to shape the digital landscape of a vital infrastructure network.
🌍 What You’ll Do
• Create, modify, and maintain enterprise-level GIS infrastructure data
• Support PTC Subdivision Files and ensure database compliance
• Convert field-generated spatial data into a digital rail network model
• Perform data validation, topology correction, and quality control
• Collaborate across engineering and IT teams to support Enterprise GIS initiatives
• Generate geospatial reports on system inventory, mileage, and metrics
• Leverage geospatial tools to identify cost savings and deliver business value
🛠️ What You Bring
• Advanced expertise in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience interpreting track geometrics, field data, or transportation infrastructure (a plus!)
• Knowledge of geospatial data modeling, quality control workflows, and spatial databases
• Ability to make decisions and manage small projects independently
🎓 Education
• Bachelor’s degree (required) in GIS, Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field
• Graduate degree (preferred but not required)
