Our client is a fast-growing, innovative company seeking an experienced Senior Geospatial Machine Learning Engineer for an initial 8-12 month W2 contract. About the Project This business are using cutting-edge AI and satellite data to help build a more resilient world. As a key member of their modeling team, you’ll develop and refine algorithms to analyze geospatial data. You’ll be responsible for leading projects from start to finish, from initial data exploration and model improvements to final delivery. What You'll Be Doing β€’ Develop and enhance products using machine learning and deep learning techniques. β€’ Spearhead projects and ensure their value is clear to all stakeholders. β€’ Build tools to measure performance and guide data-driven decisions. Required Skills & Experience β€’ 6+ years of commercial experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer. β€’ Extensive experience with geospatial or satellite data, and related tools like GDAL, Rasterio, GeoPandas, and QGIS. β€’ Expertise in scientific Python and its libraries, including NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, etc. β€’ Proficiency with deep learning algorithms for geospatial applications, using frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. β€’ Must be USA based - ideally a permanent resident (US Citizen, or Green Card holder) Contract Details β€’ Contract Type: W2, paid hourly. β€’ Contract Length: 8-12 months, with potential for extension. β€’ Hourly Rate: $80 - $110 per hour, based on experience.
