Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Geospatial Technician for a prestigious client in the renewable energy sector. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Solar and Storage Development team to support geospatial operations related to site selection, project design, environmental considerations, and real estate acquisition. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with GIS experience to grow within a leading company and contribute to large-scale renewable energy projects. Responsibilities: β€’ Develop maps and cartographic deliverables, including web maps, to support project development. β€’ Utilize Enverus software for site selection campaigns and project layouts, working closely with developers. β€’ Compile and analyze project constraints from project reports, ALTA surveys, publicly available data, and land agreements. β€’ Use ArcGIS model builder and Python scripting to automate routine GIS tasks. β€’ Plot metes and bounds to verify land ownership and project boundaries. β€’ Perform advanced geospatial analyses using tools such as raster and LiDAR data. β€’ Maintain and update geospatial databases, ensuring accuracy and adherence to data governance policies. β€’ Manage data lifecycle processes, including handling data inputs, workflows, and automation of processes when applicable. β€’ Identify opportunities for workflow efficiency and implement improvements. β€’ Effectively manage a full workload with shifting priorities and deadlines. Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or related field. β€’ 2-5 years of professional experience working with GIS. β€’ Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Pro (required) and ArcGIS Online. β€’ Experience with Python scripting and ArcGIS Model Builder for automating GIS tasks. β€’ Strong understanding of geospatial data management and data governance principles. β€’ Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Power Automate, CAD, Enverus platform, JavaScript, or Salesforce. β€’ Experience with renewable energy projects is a plus. β€’ GIS certification is preferred.
