Role description
Job title: GIS Analyst - Consultant Location: 400 Otarre Pkwy Cayce, SC 29033 Work Location: Role is hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) in Cayce, SC This position will focus on Public Health initiatives , Cancer Registry, immunizations, maintaining enterprise architecture, geospatial analysis, infectious disease surveillance and application development. This will include providing support, analysis, testing, problem resolution, reporting, and monitoring of GIS environment and services associated with sensitive data that are restricted and confidential. The candidate will work in a team environment with other GIS and Information Technology staff and Program Area to provide support of GIS solutions and users. The GIS candidate will work in the ESRI software platform and other tools to support agency GIS backend interoperability, REST services, Web API service, python scripts, and online web mapping solutions. Required Skills: 1. 3-5 years Experienced Data analyst with extensive experience preforming public health data modeling, data mapping, data cleansing 1. 3-5 years Experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online 1. Web services (Rest, SOAP). 1. 3-5 Years GIS Infrastructure Administration and Monitoring 1. SQL Server. 1. GIS mapping. 1. Solid background in data integration, staging, quality and distribution 1. Knowledge of Information Technology Field, best practices, organization, and operations. Preferred Skills: 1. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. 1. Experience using an administering Microsoft’s Internet Information Services (IIS). 1. Arcgis Notebooks. 1. Ticketing system. 1. Experience with industry standard information security practices 1. Experience with security and data classification related to CDC, HIPPA, and PHI/PII data Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience.
