Compensation & Location Location: Santa Ana, CA Pay Range: $16.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience and internal equity) Schedule: Full-time, contract; long-term opportunity Work Type: Hybrid; 2 days a week Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, 401k, Continuing and on-demand education 📍 Must be willing to work onsite in Santa Ana, CA ‼️ ONLY W2 – NO CORP to CORP – NO 3rd Parties ❌ Sponsorship is NOT AVAILABLE for this role Position Summary We are seeking a GIS Support Analyst to assist with utility asset validation, records research, documentation management, and geospatial support activities. This role will focus on reviewing field documentation, validating utility asset information, and supporting system-of-record updates through research, analysis, and data organization efforts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with GIS tools, documentation, records management systems, and cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Review field-captured photographic evidence and document critical asset information • Consolidate research findings and field documentation to support system-of-record corrections • Review work order documentation and identify key information required for asset validation activities • Validate pole asset locations using ArcGIS Online, AutoCAD Map 3D, Google Earth, Lidar, and related tools • Organize, maintain, and document records supporting utility asset management initiatives • Support data quality improvement efforts through research and documentation activities • Prepare reports, summaries, and supporting documentation for project stakeholders • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support asset validation and records management initiatives • Assist with process documentation and operational support activities • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of project documentation and records What You'll Be Working On • Utility asset validation and pole identification initiatives • GIS and geospatial support activities • ArcGIS Online, Google Earth, Map 3D, and Lidar research • Records management and documentation projects • Work order reviews and field documentation analysis • Data quality and system-of-record correction efforts • Cross-functional utility infrastructure support projects Required Skills & Experience • Bachelor's degree required • 2+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Excel functions including VLOOKUP, IF statements, and data analysis techniques • Experience working on cross-functional project teams • Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills • Ability to review and interpret technical documentation, records, and supporting evidence • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Desired Skills • Associate's degree in Geography, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field with a GIS emphasis • Experience with records management systems such as SAP, ESRI ArcGIS, or SAS • Experience performing technical writing, documentation management, and records consolidation activities • Familiarity with GIS platforms, geospatial analysis tools, and mapping technologies • Experience supporting utility, engineering, or infrastructure-related projects • 3+ years of Big 4 consulting experience preferred • Stable work history within large enterprise organizations
