Role: GitHub Actions Migration Developer

β’ Plano, TX or Seattle, WA
β’ 100% Remote only for Senior-level candidates who can manage workload independently
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Experience in migrating artifacts assigned to Quotabotz from Bamboo to GitHub Actions.
β’ Migration is primarily Spring Boot / Java artifacts, with the remainder of 5 Cache and 2 Node.
β’ Support miscellaneous 1-off apps (Angular, ApigeeX, Kafka, Python, etc) or the remainder of the portfolio's additional Spring Boot / Java applications.
β’ Define GitHub Actions Workflow Requirements: Build, Test, Lint, Deploy, Artifact handling, Notifications and determine matrix builds or multi-environment testing.
β’ Translate existing logic into .github/workflows. If an opportunity exists, modularise reusable workflows using composite actions and reusable workflows, and implement the required job conditions.
β’ Leverage GitHub Actions migration tool to migrate existing secrets to GitHub repository or organisation secrets, update workflows to use secrets, test and validate those credentials in AWS work in the new setup.
β’ Work with the engineering team through the Pull Request approval process and any post-validation build and deploy steps.
β’ Communicate obstacles or impacted work to the engineering team throughout the effort.
β’ Clean up and Transition work to the engineering team, including examples of how to use/trigger workflows and support other developers using the new pipelines.
β’ Must have experience in Agile Scrum processes with good verbal and written communication skills.
