Our client is a global consulting and professional services organization helping multinational companies optimize complex global operations, compliance, and supply chain performance. This role sits within a specialized global trade advisory practice focused on helping organizations manage import/export compliance, trade operations, and supply chain strategy through technology enablement and advanced analytics.
The Global Trade Advisory Consultant will support enterprise clients by translating complex trade, supply chain, and compliance challenges into actionable analytics, reporting, and technology solutions. This role combines niche expertise in global trade operations with systems, technology, and data analytics capabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working across global import/export environments while leveraging data, reporting, dashboards, ERP/GTM systems, and analytics to drive operational and compliance improvements.
NOTE: Two levels are available: Advanced (6+ years) and Expert (10+ years) experience.
Responsibilities:
β’ Lead trade analytics and technology enablement initiatives focused on import/export compliance and global supply chain performance.
β’ Translate trade and supply chain business challenges into actionable analytics, dashboards, automated reporting, and monitoring solutions.
β’ Advise multinational organizations on import/export compliance strategies supported by analytics-driven insights.
β’ Lead data discovery, cleansing, mapping, and analysis efforts across ERP, Global Trade Management (GTM), logistics, and supply chain systems.
β’ Design and implement analytics-enabled operating solutions to improve compliance, visibility, cost optimization, and operational performance.
β’ Develop dashboards, exception monitoring, audit-ready reporting outputs, and automated controls monitoring capabilities.
β’ Lead trade technology strategy initiatives including current-state assessments, requirements gathering, roadmap development, and implementation planning.
β’ Collaborate with client IT, engineering, and business stakeholders to support cloud, data lake, and enterprise system integrations.
β’ Oversee testing, validation, governance, stakeholder alignment, and adoption planning for analytics and technology initiatives.
β’ Support international trade management operations through systems and reporting optimization efforts.
β’ Supervise and mentor junior consultants and project team members.
β’ Partner with senior leadership to support practice operations, client delivery, and business development initiatives.
β’ Maintain expertise on emerging trade technologies, analytics tools, and evolving global trade regulations.
β’ Travel as needed to support client engagements and project delivery.
β’ Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
β’ High school diploma or GED required.
β’ 6+ years of experience (Advanced level) or 10+ years of experience (Expert level) in global trade, trade compliance, supply chain analytics, or related consulting environments.
β’ Experience combining global trade operations expertise with systems, technology, and data analytics capabilities.
β’ Strong understanding of import/export compliance, trade operations, and international supply chain processes.
β’ Experience working with ERP, Global Trade Management (GTM), logistics, or supply chain systems.
β’ Strong data analytics experience including reporting, dashboards, data wrangling, and insights generation.
β’ Experience leading data discovery, cleansing, transformation, and analytics initiatives.
β’ Strong stakeholder management, presentation, and client-facing consulting experience.
β’ Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable analytics and technology solutions.
β’ Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
β’ Ability and willingness to travel for client engagements.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
β’ Experience with trade analytics platforms, ERP systems, logistics systems, or data lake environments.
β’ Experience with visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or similar platforms.
β’ Familiarity with cloud technologies and enterprise data integrations.
β’ Experience supporting trade compliance, customs, export controls, or supply chain optimization initiatives.
β’ Consulting experience within multinational or enterprise environments.
β’ SAP GTS experience is helpful but not required.
