Contract Role | Pay Rate: $100/hr
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Global Trade Advisory Consultant to support our trade compliance and data initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with U.S. customs processes, tariff structures, and data analytics. This role requires both deep trade knowledge and technical expertise to analyze, manage, and report on trade-related data effectively.
This is a remote contract role with a pay rate of $100/hr.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide advisory support on U.S. Customs trade compliance and reporting.
• Utilize the Customs Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system, specifically focusing on Entry Summary and Reporting modules.
• Interpret and apply trade regulations, including reciprocal tariffs, Section 232 tariffs, and HTSUS Chapter 99, Subchapter III requirements.
• Perform trade data analysis, validation, and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to design and execute data-driven solutions in trade operations.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualization tools to communicate trade-related insights.
• Provide recommendations to enhance efficiency and compliance in global trade processes.
Required Qualifications
Trade Data Knowledge
• Familiarity with Customs Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), including Entry Summary and Reporting.
• Knowledge of supplemental tariffs (reciprocal tariffs, Section 232, etc.).
• Experience working with HTSUS Chapter 99, Subchapter III.
Technical / Data Skills
• Strong Microsoft Excel (or equivalent) skills, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF/COUNTIF, and similar functions.
• Experience in at least one of the following areas:
• Data wrangling
• Data engineering
• Data visualization
• Data analytics
• Data science
• Ability to join, filter, append, and summarize datasets.
• Understanding of different data types (string/text, numeric, boolean, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (array functions such as SORT, FILTER, UNIQUE, etc.).
• Experience with at least one of the following tools/technologies:
• Alteryx
• Microsoft Power Apps (Power Query, Power BI, etc.) or equivalent
• Tableau
• SQL
• Programming languages (Python, R, VBA, etc.)
• Other relevant tools/skills in trade data and analytics.
