Role description
We're looking for a strong Go / GCP Engineer to help build backend applications in a Google Cloud Platform environment. This role requires hands-on experience developing in Golang along with deep, practical knowledge of GCP services and how applications interact with them.
This is a remote, W-2 long-term contract engagement with a Fortune 50 enterprise org. There is potential for long-term growth and additional opportunities, based on performance and business needs.
Requirements:
• 4+ years of backend software engineering experience
• 2+ years of professional Golang development experience
• Strong hands-on experience working within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments
• Experience building backend services or APIs in Go
• Experience integrating applications with GCP services (e.g., Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery)
• Experience building or automating workflows using Google Workflows
• Familiarity with YAML-based workflow definitions
• Experience orchestrating microservices or serverless functions
• Experience supporting or automating CI/CD pipelines
• Solid understanding of API design and backend service architecture
• Strong communicator who works effectively on distributed engineering teams

• To meet the client's cybersecurity requirements, contractors are expected to have their camera on during meetings, collaboration sessions, etc. for the first 90 days of the assignment. Additionally, all work must be performed from within the United States for the duration of the assignment.
