Genesis10 is currently seeking a Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role focuses on building scalable data pipelines and AI-ready data systems. The ideal candidate will be a cloud data engineer with a strong background in data engineering, BigQuery optimization, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. Responsibilities: • Build scalable data pipelines and AI-ready data systems on Google Cloud Platform • Focus on data engineering tasks, not application development • Optimize BigQuery for both performance and cost-efficiency • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions Requirements: • Overall 7 years of experience with at least 3+ years of strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform • Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform tools including BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Functions, Workflows, and GKE • Strong Python programming skills • Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions) Desired skills: • Experience with AI tools such as Copilot or other productivity tools Pay range: $53.28 - $61.28 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
