We are always looking for qualified, culture-friendly candidates to join our professional and somewhat quirky family. 75% Remote, 25% Onsite Contract to Hire Supporting EST No 3rd Parties Job Summary The Google Looker Developer will design, build, and own the overall process of developing new Looker dashboards. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of LookML, including the ability to create and maintain coding standards and style guides for LookML development. This role will be responsible for creating healthcare-related reports and data, so experience with healthcare data is a plus. Essential Job Functions • Develop Looker models and maintain LookML code • Design, build, and own the process of developing new Looker dashboards • Develop, maintain and enforce coding standards and style guides for LookML development • Work collaboratively with the healthcare data and analytics team to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex problems • Create and maintain documentation related to Looker development processes and procedures • Provide training and support to end-users of Looker dashboards • Work on a team using Agile Scrum methodology to deliver new reports and dashboards to stakeholders on a regular basis • Have a proven ability to work in a rapid development environment with a strong emphasis on quality and delivery Education, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other relevant area of study • 2+ years of experience as a Looker Developer • Expert knowledge of LookML, including the ability to create and maintain coding standards and style guides for LookML development • Experience with cloud-based data warehouses such as Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, or Snowflake • Experience working with healthcare data is a plus • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology and experience working on a team using this methodology • Proven ability to work in a rapid development environment with a strong emphasis on quality and delivery • Proficient in SQL and able to write complex queries to retrieve and manipulate data from a variety of data sources • Experience with Git version control • Familiarity with data visualization best practices and ability to develop compelling, effective dashboards • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms Education, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Preferred • Knowledge of Python or another scripting language Our Team: Divurgent is a solutions provider focused on what matters most to our client partners.
