Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure alignment on data usage and definitions.
Lead terminology alignment workshops and standardize taxonomy across business units.
Gather requirements on data quality, lineage, and definitions.
Create and maintain data governance documentation: business glossaries, metadata, and quality rules.
Collaborate with data architects and engineers on enterprise data models.
Perform SQL-based data profiling to validate and reconcile understanding with actual datasets.
Participate in governance councils to contribute to policy and standards development.
Act as a data steward for key business domains and ensure documentation is current.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
3–5+ years in Data Governance, Business/Data Analyst roles.
Experience in multi-tiered environments—preferably in Product, Customer, or Worker data.
Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation experience.
Proficiency in SQL for querying and validation.
Familiarity with data modeling (relational, dimensional) and metadata tools is a plus.
Knowledge of data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK preferred.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
