Role description
Role : Guidewire Policy Developer – Ace Certified / Associate Certified Location: Remote – United States or Canada Position Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled Guidewire Policy Developer with Guidewire Ace Certified or Associate Certified (PolicyCenter) credentials to join our growing insurance technology team. This role will focus on designing, developing, configuring, and supporting Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions for Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance clients across North America. Key Responsibilities • Design, configure, and develop solutions in Guidewire PolicyCenter • Implement business rules, workflows, product model changes, and integrations • Customize PCF screens, data model extensions, and batch processes • Develop integrations using SOAP/REST APIs, messaging, and middleware platforms • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to Guidewire best practices • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders • Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, and sprint planning • Support testing cycles (unit, SIT, UAT) and production deployments • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across environments • Maintain technical documentation and design artifacts Required Qualifications : • Guidewire PolicyCenter Ace Certified or Associate Certified (active certification preferred) • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter development • Strong experience in: • Gosu programming • PCF configuration • Data model extensions • Integration development • Experience with Guidewire Cloud or on-prem implementations • Strong understanding of P&C insurance policy lifecycle • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work remotely in US or Canada time zones Preferred Qualifications : • Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter or BillingCenter • Experience with Guidewire Digital Portal • Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps) • Experience in large-scale PolicyCenter implementations Technical Skills : • Guidewire PolicyCenter (Configuration & Integration) • Java (preferred) • REST/SOAP Web Services • SQL • Git or other version control tools
