Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer Lead 📍 Location: Worcester, MA (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite per week required) 📄 Type: Contract / Consulting ⚠️ Note: We are not sponsoring visas at this time. Role Summary We are seeking a Senior / Lead Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer to support and lead development efforts in a hybrid environment based in Worcester, MA. This role requires deep technical expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter and strong leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of Guidewire PolicyCenter experience, hands-on development expertise, and the ability to mentor team members while contributing to architecture and integration solutions. Key Responsibilities • Customize Guidewire PolicyCenter using Gosu, PCF, and Guidewire Studio • Develop and support integrations (SOAP/REST APIs, messaging services, BillingCenter/ClaimCenter, third-party systems) • Perform requirements analysis and create technical design documentation • Collaborate in an Agile development environment • Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers • Conduct unit testing and performance optimization • Provide production support and troubleshoot issues Required Qualifications • 8+ years of experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter • Strong proficiency in Gosu and Java • Experience with SOAP and REST web services • Hands-on experience with: • Jira • Git / Bitbucket • Build tools (Ant, Maven, or Gradle) • API testing tools (SOAP UI, Postman) • Solid understanding of P&C insurance domain • Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments • Prior leadership or mentoring experience Preferred Qualifications • Guidewire certifications • Experience with BillingCenter and/or ClaimCenter • Insurance or financial services background Ideal Candidate Profile You’re a senior-level Guidewire professional who: • Is comfortable working hybrid onsite in Worcester, MA • Has strong hands-on coding expertise • Can lead technical discussions and mentor others • Understands the P&C insurance lifecycle
