Job description: Job Title: Senior Guidewire Developer – SmartComm & Thunderhead Integration Location: Onsite in Warren, NJ Employment Type: Full-time Experience Level: 8+ Years Kindly Share your resumes to dkannoji@wscs.ai Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Guidewire Developer with strong expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter, along with hands-on experience in document generation and correspondence integrations using SmartComm (Smart Communications) and Thunderhead (Journey Manager). The ideal candidate will design, develop, and support scalable Guidewire solutions while leading document automation and customer communication initiatives. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and customize Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) using Gosu, PCF, and Guidewire APIs • Lead and implement SmartComm document generation integrations for policy, billing, and claims documents • Develop and support Thunderhead (Journey Manager) integrations for customer communications and omnichannel correspondence • Build and manage document templates, data mappings, and output formats (PDF, print, email, digital delivery) • Integrate Guidewire with external systems using REST/SOAP web services, messaging, and batch processes • Customize Guidewire Document Production, Correspondence, and Workflow rules • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions • Perform performance tuning, code reviews, and production support • Ensure compliance with insurance regulatory and documentation standards • Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership Required Skills & Qualifications: • 8+ years of experience in Guidewire development • Strong hands-on expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter / BillingCenter / ClaimCenter • Proficiency in Gosu, PCF, XML, XSD, XPath, Java • Solid experience with SmartComm (Smart Communications) document design and integration • Hands-on experience with Thunderhead (Journey Manager / NOW Platform) • Strong knowledge of Guidewire Document Production & Correspondence Framework • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, messaging (Kafka/JMS), and batch processing • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and DevOps practices • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Nice to Have: • Guidewire Certification (Associate / Specialist / ACE) • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, XSL-FO for document formatting • Experience with insurance domains: P&C, Commercial Lines, Personal Lines • Exposure to Customer Communication Management (CCM) platforms
