Role description
We are looking for a Lead SRE & Edge Architect to serve as the Sole Custodian of an Integrated Intelligence Ops Ecosystem within a Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) Connected environment.
This role bridges physical hardware security and cloud-native application delivery, ensuring secure, resilient, and high-performance operations across hybrid infrastructure. You will lead edge architecture, hybrid workload orchestration, and zero-trust security implementation across distributed systems.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Ecosystem Custodianship
• Design, deploy, and maintain the bridge between physical hardware security systems and GDC-native applications
Hybrid Infrastructure Orchestration
• Deploy VM Runtime on GDC and manage hybrid workloads across VMs and containerized microservices
Zero-Trust Architecture
• Implement MASQUE / TLS tunnels, per-machine certificates, and hardware-level encryption
Full-Stack Infrastructure Ownership
• Manage the entire stack—from physical intrusion sensors in racks to AIOps-driven self-healing workloads
Connectivity & Reliability
• Maintain secure GDC ↔ GCP communication and ensure 99.99% uptime for edge operations
